Spring Cleaning Tips For Your 4x4

Spring cleaning isn't really the ideal way for anyone to spend their weekends. But in the months of April & May, many find themselves cleaning out their basements, burning brush, or in this case cleaning up their vehicles from the long winter months. For those of you who drive a 4x4 vehicle, like a Jeep for instance, there is a bit more spring cleaning than just your normal sedan. Even if you aren't keen on using your 4x4 vehicle for some off-road fun, there is always going to be a bit more mud and dust kicking up.

Wash The Underbody

Too many, too often tend to skip the undercarriage when washing their vehicle. This is always a major reason why rust tends to build up in the undercarriage, and as many of you may very well know--rust is never a good thing. So take the extra couple of minutes to bend over and wash underneath.

Clean Headlamps & Taillights

You might never even consider this, but when you don't properly clean the dirst, dust and grime from your headlights or taillights you actually will cut down the brightness and visibility of your driving capabilities. So take a sponge, soak it good and scrub hard at those lights

Lastly, Replace Your Wiper Blades

If your wiper blades are making this awful dragging noise, and leaving streaks--then it is highly likely that your wiper blades need to be replaced. After every winter it is recommended to replace these, as it will hinder your ability to drive with clear visibility of the road during stormy weather.
